Do Wear Denim for Summer 2010, Don't Wear Denim on Denim - Hell No!

Ahhh, the dog days of summer are here and it's hot as hell! Yeah, we know. Our fave look is denim, denim and more denim. Even when not the 'trend'. We're loving some of the fashion forward looks and we'll be posting quite a few finds. Faded and distressed denims are the best, but remember to mix it up a bit and even throw in a pair of white denims on blue. Make it fresh - we'll be watching.

A Cool Book For A Cool Summer Read: Ripped, TShirts From The Underground!

Who else but a vintage store owner could have such a massive collection of tees and be fresh enough to write about it? Meet Manhattan's Cherry Vintage store owner, Cesar Padilla. The book features over 200 t-shirts of the post punk period. The mother of NY's punk era Lydia Lunch leads the introduction. We agree with Lydia's quote, "You can't buy style any more than you can fake a rebellion just by buying a ready made carbon copy of what a million other clueless fools are wearing this season." Well said sister. Well said. Get the book if you love groups like the Sex Pistols, Ike and Tina, Van 'F'n Halen (lol, we love this one), Cocaine Cowboys and so on. A collector's dream, even if you don't own a vintage tee.
